Yahoo Zimbra email service sold by VMware


According to financial newspaper, online giant wanted to sell Zimbra for a higher price but below the 100 million U.S. dollars paid in 2007, the 350 million U.S. dollars.
Through this transaction, VMware will acquire all Zimbra technology and all intellectual property rights, and Yahoo will continue to use the technologies used in communication services, including Yahoo Mail and Yahoo Calendar.
Zimbra manages over 55 million emails of companies, universities and Internet service providers. Division has approximately 100 employees.
Through this acquisition VMware, which dominates the market for virtualization technologies, software solutions that allow a single computer to perform processes more computers, the method by which can be reduced IT costs, open a new line of products.
